Mistletoe Munnar proposes to show case art collections from famous artists of Kerala. In the beginning the focus will be for landscapes Kerala from water colourist M. Somu Aymanam and young Mural artist Manikandan Punnakal. The travelers would be able to appreciate and buy art from here. The cafe will have a exclusive selection of coffee and tea and some home baked cookies and bread as well. A traditional Clay Oven & Cafe, where one can experience baking as an art, and enjoy some good coffee and fresh brew of Munnar teas along with freshly baked cookies and breads. Our guests could feel at home, coffee and tea making facility is provided at the oven café, where one could indulge and have a privilege to make a cup of hot brew of coffee / tea along with some fresh and crisp cookies.

Somu as an artist. And as a designer architect of special homes and interiors he surpasses our ordinary imaginations and places an art connoisseur in each and every person who looks at his subtle master pieces. In his imagination - elegance and craft meets in harmony with all elements of nature. M Somu is born in the sleepy village of Aymanan in Kottayam, where "The God of Small Things" was also germinated. As a graduate in fine arts, he has excelled his early career as a news paper illustrator and now as freelancer, associates with leading Architects for concept design, project enrichment etc. And also associates with various tourism projects as Art Consultant, such as Orange county resorts. His private gallery at Ayamanam is an art connoisseurs must visit where M. Somu has a collection of his own works and the media used for paintings are oil, acrylic, water color, charcoal, pencil, gouche or mixed media (a combination of more than one media).

Manikandan Punnakkal, from Chalissery village, Palakkad district, Kerala commenced mural painting from a very young age. He has executed numerous traditional mural paintings on walls and various surfaces such as canvas and wooden panels, etc. Yet another remarkable art work of Manikandan punnakkal's is Relief mural were he depicts his own style on walls. Which had captured throughout the Nation.
One of his recent works is the mural in Vaikom Mahadeva Temple in Kerala, which is considered a landmark. Though in Kerala, traditional mural painting is done only in five colours such as yellow, red, green, black and white, Manikandan has experimented with colours in his mural paintings.
He has created a contemporary mural style in which, along with colour, he infuses tribal beauty, folk art, traditional musical instruments as well as tribal lifestyles with their rustic simple life yet highlighting their sensuality. His creativity of making contemporary mural got immense recognition & admiration in the art market.
Recently, Manikandan added another creative dimension and completed a series of paintings on acrylic. These paintings depict the 'Anandini Series, and is based on women who specialize in entertaining guests. It literally means a women who enjoys and entertains, is a series of Mural style paintings.
A high point in Manikandan's artistic career was when he invited to Italy for three solo exhibitions.
He obtained 5years National Diploma in Mural Painting from Guruvayoor(kerala), MFA from Mysore, Karnataka.
