Jo and his family are great, extremely kind ! Everything was perfect and we felt immediately at ease! The house is decorated with taste ! Great rooms ( a bit small for 3 people) and the beautiful view ! We enjoyed all the little touches on arrival and departure (again thank you for the gifts !!) , small soaps in the bathroom smelling divinely good , exceptional meal (by far the best of our stay in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and affordable !!!) !! thank you for the cooking classes and discussions with Jo .... Book without hesitation, you will not be disappointed !!

Mistletoe really is a top place to stay. The rooms are airy and spacious with wonderful views from the balcony. Jo and his family go that bit further to make the stay the best it can be. The food? Gorgeous! We are our evening meals here, on the balcony, served by Jo and his wife. Jo is a very attentive and knowledgeable host who quite happily shares this with you. He organised a day out for us sightseeing in a tuk tuk and that was a great way to check out the area. Our highlight was leaving early evening with a guide, Jo and his 3yr old son, for a 1 hour bouncing jeep drive to the local Elephant watering hole. Seeing these magnificent animals coming down through the forest to drink and socialize was simply Wow! There are Homestays and there is Mistletoe. I know which one I'd go back to. Best stay, without a doubt, of our holiday.

This is high quality all the way. Beautiful architecture. Good service. Delicious food. Friendly family. This is perfect for relaxing. We stayed 4 days in a lovely stylish room. This is absolutely modern design at its best. We appreciated the private balcony with shadow during the hot day and a magnificent view. Jo and Jeena are good hosts. We were welcomed with cool washcloths and cool lemon drinks. We had all meals at the guesthouse, it is difficult to do other, but you will not find better food elsewhere. We had vegetarian food and fish and Indian breakfast, but they will make pizza and others if you wish. All 3 members of the family cook, but the master is the grandma, and I would like to have her recipes. This is freshly made homemade food. Served in a professional way. I would call it food-art. The family lives downstairs, and are always there to help. Jo showed us nice walks in the area and invited us to join him on a jeep safari up in the mountains through cardamom plantations. That was really special.
